How to get a Penticton Public Library Card


Do you have the card?

Membership is free to:

  • Persons living within the corporate limits of the City of Penticton
  • Owners of real property in the City of Penticton
  • Residents of the West Bench

What you need to get a card: A piece of identification* with your name and current address.

OR

A current student card if you are aged 13-18 Children ages 6-12 are issued cards on their parent's or guardian's record.

* We accept picture identification showing current address such as a valid driver's licence or B.C.I.D. The following may also be accepted if accompanied by other identification: personalized cheques, utility bill in the person's name, a business letter with a current post mark addressed to the person applying for the card, a rent receipt showing the name and address of the person applying for the card.

If you are a B.C. resident with a valid library card, you may register for a BC OneCard. Non-resident and tourist cards are also available. Visit the Circulation Desk or call 250-770-7781 for more information.

REMINDER: You are responsible for materials borrowed on your card. Please notify the library if your card is lost or stolen, or if your address changes.
