Afterschool Programs
For further information about any of the programs please call 770-7783, or visit the Youth Services Librarian's Office.
Afterschool Programs (ages 6-12)
Programs are generally offered at the end of each month, or to celebrate special days and occasions (Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.). Spring break programs are also an annual happening. Please check the schedule for upcoming events.
Summer Reading Club (ages 6-12)
The Summer Reading Club is a program offered in July and August of each year, and designed to help kids maintain the reading gains of the school year through the summer holidays. Participants keep track of their reading on a "reading record", setting their own reading goals and collecting stickers as an incentive to achieve them. Book displays on reading club themes offer kids many suggestions for great summer books. Weekly programs are also held at the Library - we have guests, crafts, prizes, storytelling, and a party to wind it all up!
Tours
We are happy to do storytimes and tours for preschools, elementary and highschool classes, or groups such as Brownies, Cubs, etc. as our schedule permits. Please call 770-7783 to arrange a visit (September, November, January, and June are the best times to try). Come and see us!
