The Red Cedar Book Awards

The Red Cedar Book Award is a reader's choice award for Canadian children's books - one fiction and one non-fiction winner is selected by participating kids in grades 4-7 in British Columbia each year.

The first awards were given in 1998.

The Canadian Children's Book Centre maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date list of Canadian book awards for the writing and illustrating of books for young readers.

Participating readers aged 13 - 19 select from a list of Canadian young adult titles that can include both fiction and non-fiction.
