Junior Easy (JE)
Picture books galore! These books are meant for a parent to read to a child. Because parents should read aloud to children ranging in age from 0-12 years, this collection includes a wide range of subjects and levels of difficulty, as well as books for all moods and tastes, from the very serious to the seriously silly. Look for paperbacks in this category in the alphabet block bookshelf.
Junior Easy Readers (JER)
Children who are beginning to read on their own should check out these shelves. The collection includes true "readers" with age and grade-level indicators as well as simple picture books with limited vocabularies, large print and ample white space to accommodate new readers. Amelia Bedelia, Henry and Mudge, Frog and Toad, and the Magic Tree House - young readers will find lots of fun and adventure. We have paperbacks too!
Junior Fiction (JFIC)
These books are intended for stronger elementary school readers. Short story collections as well as chapter books and longer picture books with extensive text are shelved here. Don't forget to check the paperback spinners for more titles from this area.
Junior Mysteries (JMYSTERY)
Mysteries are popular with young readers and have been given a separate section to make them easy to find. The Hardy Boys, the Boxcar Children, Sherlock Holmes - they're all here! Paperback mysteries are shelved with the general junior paperback collection.

Paperbacks are shelved with the general junior paperback collection.

Readers will find great material for school projects and intriguing titles on personal interests - knights, kites, sharks, space, costumes, cooking, and more! Some special sections are mentioned below.

Other Formats
DVDs
Children's DVDs offer a wealth of wonderful stories suitable for young children.
